I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in 2004 from the Institute of Psychoanalysis and Social Studies, London. The qualification emphasised the importance of recognising the social dimension of psychotherapy and prepared us to work with people from different backgrounds. As part of this training, I worked as a volunteer counsellor for MIND.

I have been registered with UKCP since that time and have worked part-time intermittently in private practice, as well as working as a Lecturer in a London University. Both have given me experience with many different people from a variety of cultures.
